Bling all the way!

Not every bride is into flowers for their wedding (as much as it pains me to admit). When bride Nicole came for her consultation she had only one thing in mind… bling, bling, bling! Crystals, and sparkles and rhinestones were everywhere in her decor scheme, but she wanted a few special floral elements for her big day.

So we decided to go full tilt luxury for her flowers, choosing a selection of orchids and roses in shades of purple and white with lots of bling details. How fitting that purple is the colour of royalty!

Nicole’s bouquet featured white cymbidium orchids, purple dendrobium orchids and white roses, hand tied with a full rhinestone ribbon wrap. Threaded throughout her bouquet, we added a variety of rhinestone accents to really make it sparkle. She actually squealed in delight when she saw it!

For her bridesmaids, who were wearing dark plum dresses, we fashioned smaller versions of the bridal bouquet, but this time using lovely purple cymbidium orchids in place of the white. A few touches of bling, and a purple ribbon wrap, and these beauties were ready for the aisle.

The flower girl got what every little girl wants in her hair with this precious crown of purple dendrobium orchids.

Perhaps the most important floral detail was the memorial table, for the groom’s late mother. We covered a small table with a bed of purple roses and a border of purple dendrobium orchids. Her framed photograph was placed in the middle and votive candles dispersed between the flowers. A truly beautiful tribute to a lost loved one.

While the decor of the room featured a multitude of gorgeous elements (can we say head table canopy with tiered chandeliers!), a few floral touches were required on the head tables. Low arrangements of purple tinted hydrangea, white roses (with bling centers of course) and purple dendrobium orchids, were just enough to complete the look.

Nicole’s wedding is a perfect example of how you don’t need a ton of flowers to make your wedding special…. you just need special flowers! Congratulations to the beautiful blinged out bride and groom on their special day!
