French Chic in Wedgewood Blue

Details matter in a wedding. Attention to detail can mean the difference between “meh” and “wow” even on a small budget. No bride understood this better than Cheryl, who knew exactly what she wanted in every aspect of her wedding. Embracing her favourite colour,  pale blue, we sought to create a chic and elegant atmosphere using blue, ivory, gold and crystal.

Cheryl’s favourite flower was blue hydrangea, so we used them in abundance, across almost every element. Her bridal bouquet boasted fluffy pale blue hydrangea with full ivory roses and rhinestone centered stephanotis. Hand tied with an ivory wrap and rhinestone buckles left over from the invitations this bouquet was lovely and full!

Bridesmaids carried bouquets of ivory roses detailed with darker blue dendrobium orchids to create some contrast. A few rhinestone details were added for a bit of sparkle.

The reception room at Roma’s Event Center in Mississauga was the perfect accompaniment to the theme. Cream walls, gilded with gold and huge crystal chandeliers screamed french elegance. Even the napkins were the perfect shade of wedgewood blue!

The centerpieces were globes of blue hydrangea and ivory roses. They we placed atop glass cylinders with a rhinestone band at the top and a string of dendrobium orchids down the center. Clear water beads covered a LED light that shone up on the orchid string illuminating the detail for guests as the evening went on.

A long low arrangement of blue hydrangea, ivory roses and blue dendrobium orchids was placed in the middle of the head table. Even her cake matched the colours of the flowers perfectly!

Cheryl’s wedding turned out to be exactly as she pictured, thanks in part to her attention to detail. We love a bride who knows what she wants! Best of luck to the happy couple on a long and loving marriage!
