Peach & Navy at the Ancaster Mill

We love weddings at the Ancaster Mill! It’s such a pretty, romantic setting with so many unique spaces for a smaller wedding. So we were thrilled when our couple Naoko and Jeff informed us of their venue selection for their intimate wedding of 60 guests.

Bride Naoko’s wanted to incorporate her favourite colour, peach, into the wedding scheme through the floral elements. With a palette of Navy Blue and Gold, we selected florals in Ivory & Peach with touches of Coral to give it some pop.

The Bridal Bouquet featured a combination of Peach roses, Coral Cabbage Roses, Peach Spray Roses and lush White Ranunculus. An Ivory satin ribbon wrap and turquoise pendant as her something blue finished the look.

Seeking an overall romantic feel the bride requested fresh flowers for her hair so we provided fragrant ivory spray roses to the hairstylist to incorporate into her updo. The result was lovely and truly romantic!

The Groom’s boutonniere matched the bouquet featuring a peach rose with spray roses and greenery accents.

The ceremony took place in the Anacaster Mill’s secret garden, where guests were surrounded by the lovely foilage of the grounds. We decorated the white trellis with two large arrangements of hydrangea, roses and spray roses, creating a lovely backdrop and focal point. The aisle was lined with our iron shepherds hooks with small arrangements of matching flowers.

In the reception space, gallery tables were set with navy blue runners and gold charger plates to tie in the colour scheme. A series of small floral arrangements in mason jars were placed down the length of each table. Fluffy hydrangea, peach roses and spray roses and those fabulous coral cabbage roses offered the pop of colour and a lovely fragrance.

We re-purposed the trellis decor from the ceremony for the sweetheart table on site and the two separate pieces were made to look as one on the table.

Finally, the simply beautiful cake with embossed ivory fondant, navy blue ribbon bow and sparkly gold broach was dressed with a topper of gorgeous roses to tie it in as an absolutely perfect compliment to the surrounding decor.

It was such a pleasure to work with this wonderfully sweet couple. Best wished to Naoko & Jeff on a long and happy marriage!

The happy couple as man and wife!
