We love a bride who knows what she wants and Danielle was no exception. She could name flowers like nobody’s business… something I don’t encounter very often, so I knew from the start that flowers were an important part of her day. She envisioned a scheme of purple and lime green using a vast array of flowers. She wanted flowers everywhere and we delivered!
Danielle’s bridal bouquet was sleek and a bit modern. We used purple tinted hydrangeas as the base and her favorite calla lilies and cymbidium orchids as accent flowers. She chose dark purple dresses for her bridesmaids and wanted bright green bouquets of orchids to pop against them. Green cymbidium orchids fit the bill and made quite a colour statement!
Both the ceremony and reception took place at Copper Creek Golf & Country Club in Kleinburg, ON and the beautiful grounds were a great backdrop for the outdoor ceremony. Pomanders of hydrangea, spider mums, roses and lisianthis were tied with purple ribbon to the chairs lining the aisle. To large arrangements in mirrored vases flanked the altar in shades of purple and green.
Inside the ballroom the tall centerpieces added just the right amount of colour. Set atop tall cylinder vases arrangements of antique hydrangea, spider mums, roses, lisianthis and cymbidium orchids were accented with a string of orchids down the center of the vase that seemed to float mid air. Even the cake featured sugar versions of the green cymbidium orchids that looked so real you couldn’t tell the difference.
This gorgeous wedding was exactly what the bride envisioned and we were so happy to make her dream come true! Best wishes to Danielle and Kyle on a long and happy marriage together and you can check out Danielle’s pretty baby shower here too! Congratulations twice over to the happy couple!
