With such a limited time frame Charlene had to choose everything quickly and really go with her gut. She was after simple elegance and wanted to compliment the castle’s interior, while brightening it up a bit. A soft neutral palette of ivory, cream, light grey and champagne were chosen for the flowers, combined with lots of candlelight.

Charlene’s bridal bouquet consisted of a textured mix of roses, calla lilies & cymbidium orchids with seeded eucalyptus and dusty miller accents tied with a grey satin ribbon.

The bridesmaids carried small bouquets of the same roses with seeded eucalyptus and dusty miller, which set off beautifully against their floor length navy gowns.

The ceremony took place in The Conservatory, a large marble floored room with tall leaded windows and tons of natural light. Two large arrangements of hydrangea, roses, stock, spray roses and dusty miller were placed in the windows at the head of the aisle  by the water fountain. A simple scattering of rose petals down the sides of the aisle was the final romantic touch.

The reception took place in The Library, a beautiful room of glass encased bookshelves in rich mahogany wood. The recent addition of sparkly chandeliers makes this room spectacular. Low centerpieces of hydrangea, roses, stock, dusty miller and seeded eucalyptus graced each table along with a set of floating candles. The overall effect was pure, simple romance!
