Whenever Arthur K from Fusion Events contacts us for a design scheme we are always excited since his clientele is always top notch and the creative vision is always a beautiful one. This engagement party was no exception. Taking place in one of Toronto’s most prestigious hotels, the Park Hyatt, this intimate party celebrating the love of two people was sure to be spectacular.
Hosted by the mother of the groom, who herself was a florist, she envisioned a garden party setting with lots of pretty spring florals in a fresh palette of green and white. One stipulation however; the flowers had to have little to no scent due to some guests allergies and sensitivities.
The floor plan for the room utilized long gallery tables, seating 8-10 people each. Wanting to keep the florals low to encourage chatter amongst guests we designed a tablescape combining a pair of low floral arrangements with sets of floating candle trios along the table length. The floral pieces combined white and green hydrangea with fluttery white lisianthus & subtle blush pink tulips for a dash of colour and spring lightness. Green dendrobium orchids were submerged in glass cylinders with a candle floating in each and clustered in groupings. Overall the final look was one of spring abundance with lots soft candlelight and spectacular views of the Toronto skyline.
Two large arrangements graced the entryway on the receiving tables made of hydrangea, lisianthis, button poms and lovely green hanging amaranthus. They made quite a statement.
We so were so glad to have helped create a beautiful celebration from a loving mother! Best of luck to the happy couple on the planning of their big day!
