Wildflowers at Hernder Winery

We always appreciate a bride with a distinct vision and bride Cayley was no exception. From the moment we met her we knew that she knew exactly what she wanted and it made our job very easy! A lover of wildflowers, Cayley wanted a rustic, laid back feel to her June wedding with colours of soft yellow and blue and an abundance of her favorite flower, daisies.

For her bridal bouquet we combined white daisies with soft yellow lisianthis, roses, feverfew, yellow ranunculus and light blue baby’s breath. We wrapped the bouquet in ivory satin ribbon and added a piece of blue lace cut from the bridesmaids dresses. Pearl trim detail finished it off along with a lock affixed to the center of the bouquet. The key was attached to the groom’s boutonniere, since he holds the key to her heart. What a lovely detail!

The bridesmaids carried loose bouquets of soft yellow flowers including lisianthus, stock, daisies and baby’s breath. They blended beautifully with their soft blue lace dresses. The flower girl carried a sweet birch bark basket filled with the same flowers.

The wedding took place at the beautiful Hernder Winery in the Niagara wine region. The outdoor ceremony backed onto a small pond on the lawn with an iron trellis marking the altar. We dressed the trellis with loads of roses, spray roses, daisies, hanging amaranthus and greenery to create a gorgeous backdrop for the couples vows.

The bride utilized her families country property and made the centerpiece bases from fallen birch tree logs. We had two different versions of the centerpiece, one a single post with a round globe of flowers or a three post set. Each was topped with a globe of hydrangea, daisies, roses and hanging amaranthus.

A true Disney lover the bride even had figurines of Belle and The Beast on her cake table in her wedding colours.

  1. Hi Ashley,
Thank you so much for capturing this! I had no idea you had a blog until today when I was going through your sight as I’d like to refer you to another good friend who just got engaged this week! I have told everyone I know how absolutely amazing your services are and that you were just the best wedding vendor I dealt with!
The copious amounts of flowers truly made my wedding breath-taking! Thank you for making it so magic.
    All the best,
    Cayley

PS The flowers at Mallory’s wedding were just as spectacular!
