Technology today allows us to do so many things, including plan flowers for a wedding. Bride Jennifer and I corresponded over email to create the design for her big day and only met in person the day of the wedding! Still, with the help of pictures, descriptive emails and our useful idea boards we were able to execute exactly what she wanted.
Jennifer choose a subtle palette of ivory, cream and champagne for her flowers. Her bridal bouquet combined full white peonies, cream hydrangea and perfect champagne roses for a fragrant lust worthy bouquet. Her MOH carried a smaller version of her the same flowers and little posies were made for the female family members to carry down the aisle. The groom wore a boutonniere of white peony buds to match.
The reception was held at the beautiful Ancaster Old Mill and the colour palette fit in perfectly with the room’s neutral walls, gold iron chairs and rustic stone fireplace. Guest tables were configured in long gallery style tables and round tables each with the same set of flowers. Single flower arrangements of cream hydrangea, champagne roses and white stock flower in glass vases were arranged down the length of the long tables or clustered in the center of the round table. The tones matched perfectly and even the guest favours, of flavoured olive oil, matched the decor scheme. A pair of long low arrangements comprised of hydrangea, peonies, roses and stock flower we placed at the head table and on the stone fireplace mantle as the finishing touches.
We were so happy that the bride and groom were pleased with their wedding flowers and it was such a joy to meet them both on their special day. We wish Jennifer and Sean a lifetime of fun and happiness in their marriage and hope their day was everything they dreamed of and more!
