We met bride Helen through fabulous wedding decorator Ann-Marie of Daniel Barker House of Design. Helen’s wedding vision was a colour scheme of black and white with pops of purple and lots of bling. With Ann-Marie handling the detailed decor we designed simple florals to accompany the vase array of crystal, sparkle and damask details in this wedding.
Helen’s bridal bouquet was a simple, yet elegant all white bouquet of roses and spray roses. We added crystals to the centers of the roses and detailed the handle with crystal trim and a sparkly brooch. A picture charm of the bride’s late brother was also added to her bouquet as a special sentimental touch.
Bridesmaids in long black gowns carried all white bouquets of hydrangea and roses.
For the church ceremony a pair of large altar pieces flanked the front altar made of all white hydrangea and roses.
The reception room at The Avenue Banquet Hall was transformed by Ann-Marie and her team at Daniel Barker House of Design. Each table featured a black and white damask table runner with a huge lucite candelabra centerpiece. We added a globe of purple tinted hydrangeas to the top of each candelabra for a pop of colour. Everywhere you looked there were blinged out details, especially on the head table with a gorgeous silver sequin linen, crystal charger plates, napkin rings and chalice candle holders. Pops of purple hydrangea arrangements combined with the bouquets added floral to the head table and the large arrangements from the church were tinted purple on site and flanked the couples romantic loveseat.
We were so thrilled when the bride and groom entered for their first look and their jaws dropped! It’s always a reaction we love to see. It was a joy working with Helen and we wish her and her husband Rasheed a long and happy marriage together.
