Bride Carly was referred to us by her cousin Amanda, who had used our floral services for her wedding a few years before. Always happy to keep it in the family, we were thrilled to be part of her day. Starting with a colour scheme of navy blue with gold accents we collaborated with Carly on how to add some pop to the space. We decided to inject a bold floral colour scheme of hot pink and orange into the mix. Airship 37, in Toronto’s Distillery District, was the site for both the ceremony and reception on a lovely summer’s day filled with colourful accents mixed with traditional details. Jessica from A Brit and a Blonde Photography captured all the beautiful images.
Carly opted for an all white bouquet with touches of green for a little bit of contrast. We combined lucious white roses and spray roses over a bed of soft green hydrangea and accented the bouquet with the most gorgeous white ranunculus blooms the season had to offer. They were stunning!
The bridesmaids carried small bouquets of hot pink and orange roses, set against their navy dresses for a bright pop of colour.
Airship 37 is best described as a blank canvas, an all white urban space, that you can make entirely your own. For the ceremony a pair of large floral arrangements comprised of hydrangea, roses & spray roses flanked the beginning of the aisle. Paper lanterns hung from the ceiling added a little bit of whimsy to the space.
The space was then flipped, while guests enjoyed cocktails in the adjoining room. Each guest table was set with a low centerpiece of hydrangea, roses and spray roses in a gold mercury pedestal vase. The centerpieces added just enough colour to the space without overwhelming it, creating a vibrant, young and fresh atmosphere perfectly befitting the couple.
Congratulations to Carly and Alex on their marriage. It was such a joy to collaborate with Carly on the floral design and we were so excited to see this wedding featured on the EventSource.ca blog last month! See that post here as well as this wedding being featured on Airship 37’s blog here.
