When bride Andrea contacted us for flowers for her winter wedding she knew she wanted to use white flowers and hoped to incorporate gold and dusty greenery as well. Overall the look she was going for was laid back, textural and a little bit rustic so we designed a suite of florals that incorporated full white flowers with bits of baby’s breath, dusty greenery and gold tinted touches.
For the bouquets we combined fluffy white mums with lush roses accented with soft baby’s breath. Dusty miller leaves were a perfect accent since they look like they are dusted with snow. To incorporate gold into the palette we tinted half of the seeded eucalyptus for a subtle gilded look. Boutonnieres for the groom and best man used ivory spray roses, a touch of baby’s breath and seeded eucalyptus to match the look.
The ceremony and reception took place inside Crush Wine Bar in downtown Toronto. A pair of large altar pieces flanked the ceremony backdrop made of rustic burlap and showcased an over sized gold glitter heart, handmade by the bride. White hydrangea, roses and lisianthis was accented with lots of dusty miller and seeded eucalyptus for a loose, textural arrangement.
Round tables featured a single low centerpieces of hydrangea, roses, lisianthis, dusty miller and gold tinted seeded eucalyptus surrounded by votive candles for a soft romantic glow. Long rectangular tables were set with multiple smaller arrangements containing hydrangea, roses, baby’s breath and tinted seeded eucalyptus along their length.
We had such a great time working on this wedding with Andrea and wish her and her new husband Brian a long and happy marriage.
