We love a detail oriented bride and upon meeting with Rosalia about a year prior to her summer wedding we knew she had a specific vision for her special day, though she needed a little help refining the look. Working closely with this lovely bride we combined her chosen palette of lavender and green with fresh summer blooms for her onsite ceremony and reception at The Arcadian Loft in the heart of downtown Toronto. The resulting design brought softness to the ultra contemporary space which features a loft style design with open concrete ceilings and a brick accent walls, not to mention spectacular views of Old and New City Hall. A truly fantastic event space in the heart of the bustling city made even more beautiful with our soft and pretty decor elements. Special thanks to Luminous Weddings for the beautiful images below.
Rosalia’s bridal bouquet was a true combination of the bounty of early summer in different shades of soft purple and white. This beauty was bursting with a variety blooms including peonies, stock, freesia, lisianthus, asters and some fabulous scabiosa blooms that were added in last minute as a special touch.
Bridesmaids carried bouquets with more green tones crafted with green mini hydrangea, button poms, lavender roses, alstroemeria and freesia. The bouquets contrasted beautifully with their dresses, which were unique to each girl, in a range of berry tones.
The boys each received a cymbidium orchid boutonniere, with the groom’s being lavender and the groomsmen being green.
The ceremony took place against the grey washed brick accent wall of the Arcadian Loft softened by purple uplighting. The aisle was lined with our iron shepherd’s hooks with a small arrangement of lavender hydrangea and roses tied with lavender ribbon. The altar space was framed with two large feature arrangements of hydrangea, roses, stock and button poms and anchored the ceremony space.
While guests sipped cocktails the space was flipped for the reception. Rectangular tables with crisp white linens featured two different styles of low centerpieces; a single large arrangement of hydrangea, roses, button poms and stock or a cluster centerpiece of the same flowers in single flower arrangements in various square glass vases. A scattering of candles, lavender napkins and stationary including custom table numbers, place cards and menus completed the look. The head table was dressed with numerous matching low florals in different sizes along it’s length, a mirrored table runner, more candles and that spectacular city view.
Love and best wishes to the happy couple. It was such a pleasure working with you and we were glad you were so thrilled with the outcome!
